We spent last weekend in Central Oregon, Sunriver specifically. The weather turned out well, overcast, not too cold and no rain. Mike and I started off with a cold, but it didn't stop him from golfing on Friday and Saturday.
Jackson and I had a great visit to the High Desert Museum. It was a well organized museum with so many interesting exhibits to keep a 6 year old entertained. We stayed for about 2 hours but easily could have stayed for longer. There was a cool bobcat, a rattle snake, lizards, 2 bald eagles, greyed horned owl, a porquipine, a great settlement area with hosts who were so informative, an otter who was sucking on his tail, tee pees, well represented Native America areas that spoke so much to the NW region specifically, and a covered wagon that Jackson couldn't resist.
The Stone's joined us for the weekend - Dave, Kelly and their two boys Alex and Mac. We ate great food, Jackson was completely enthralled with the big boys, they played games together, wii and wrestled. The adults enjoyed some beer tasting at the Deschutes Brewery Bend Pub. And of course there was hot tubbing - my boys love being in the hot tub.
And on thw way home we stopped at a pumpkin patch - you know my favorite fall activity. Turns out Ginger wasn't feeling well, and my favorite fall activity isn't Mike's, so we didn't get great pics, but here they are....
On my way to volunteer in Jackson's class. The kids went to the library today, I can't wait to hear the stories! Look for a new post soon about our fun night at Star Wars In Concert.
